While outside, this little creature flew up to Meli and Brad. After a little consideration we determined that it must be a neighbor's pet parakeet. We played with it for a little bit, then relinquished it to the next-door neighbor who has birds of her own so she could feed and care for it until the rightful owner could possibly be found.
