Day 270


Lately I've been on a little kick of trying out new things in the kitchen.

This was my take from a meal suggestion from Parents magazine. It was super-easy to make and is a common food made in an uncommon way. It's essentially a tuna sandwich. Instead of just spreading the tuna on bread, I first trimmed the edges from slices of bread, flattened them with my rolling pin, cupped them into a muffin pan and let them crisp in the oven for about 14 minutes...then I spooned in the tuna (mixed with mayo, chopped pickles, and seasoning salt), and sprinkled a little thyme on top.

It was DELICIOUS! Even Brad loved them...of course, only the turkey and cheese version.
