What a wonderful surprise to wake up to!! I almost never get up with Brad when he gets ready for work...but he wanted some pants that were in the dryer, so I trudged through the house. As I was walking back through the kitchen, my eyes were drawn to the heavy white stuff falling from the sky! SNOW! Meli had been talking about building snowmen since May and I thought we were going to have to make a roadtrip north to find some snow for her! After bundling her up, she and I had a blast building mini-snowmen, making snow angels in the barely existent layer of snow, then finished it off by having a snowball fight --her request-- in which I accidentally hit her in the forehead and ended all of our outdoor fun.. I was so in the holiday spirit that we made plans to find a Santa, and ended up spending half the day at Northpark Mall, visiting Santa, watching puppet shows and checking out the Christmas decor!
