I don't know how she does it, but it's not unusual for Meli to find other kids that want to follow her around. Typically when we go to playgrounds, she searches for what she wants to play with and is indifferent to the other kids. Then somewhere along the way, some kid latches on to her and when she finally notices she seems to mentally shrug and think, "I don't know why you're following me, but you can if you want, I guess..." On this day, the boy to her right followed her around climbing and jumping on everything she did.

Meli used some ingenuity to make a swing for her baby. She was very proud.

Riley wanted to try to write his name. He tuckered out about halfway through and decided to just draw a volcano.

We had Jurassic Park in our living room, in which Meli trucked in dinosaurs and volcanoes.

My garden is still going. I didn't produce much this year. I've been very proud of my okra, though. It grew very well.

I found a free introductory class offer for The Little Gym so I signed Meli up for a dance/gymnastics class session. I've never had dance or gymnastics so I didn't know what to expect. Meli acted bashful at first but warmed up quickly. She had a great time and has continued to show us the moves she learned that day.

"We look alike!!" Meli decided she wanted to dress like Riley and went all out, rummaging through his drawers for an outfit. Later I learned that she even wore some of his undies. Oh my.

I can't resist a picture of the "cheesy grin".

Being my favorite pajama pants, I wear my "Pumpkin Pants" year-round. Brad and I laugh when fall rolls around and they're back in season again. Sadly, I think the days are numbered for my pumpkin pants. They've been good to me for 5 years (since I was pregnant with Meli) but every time I put them on I can feel how worn they are becoming. :(

An impromptu trip to TRU to see Geoffrey the giraffe. Since that day the kids are still asking when he will be back at the store, asking if they can visit him again and calling every other giraffe they see "Geoffrey".
