Meli had her last skate class in which they put on a performance to "Frosty the Snowman". It was surprising to see them teach the kids to go in a circle only minutes before the recital.

Still happily sewing. :) I realized that I ended 2010 having finished at least one sewing project per month since July when I started learning!
July: flower dress for Meli
August: princess dress/bag set for Meli
September: apple shirt for Meli
October: candy-corn skirt for Meli
November: bed-skirt for Riley
December: curtains/valance for Riley
I should have added something to the back of the curtains/valance to make them thicker and less see-through, but I am pretty pleased with the way they came out. I would like to say that Riley is pretty pleased with it, too, since he's the one that picked out the fabric, but I don't think he cares whether they're there or not.. I'm just glad that his #1 fabric choice was acceptable to me, even if it is bright green with dots and makes his room a bright green hue when the sun's shining through..

Last day of school before winter break Riley received some fun treats to celebrate the holidays..

I became addicted to hot chocolate this December and started having a mug each night. Whipped cream on top was oh-so delicious, but when I ran out these cute little gingerbread marshmallows substituted..they were nowhere near as good, though.. (Mug was a gift from my Japanese room-mate in college, Aya. :) )

Well, Brad has a new "project". His weekends have become obsessed with this project and he seems to be working or thinking about it non-stop in his free-time. The project is in Oklahoma and he has decided that since he will not be around helping me during the weekends he will take Meli with him occasionally. I made her a goody bag and card for her first trip. I missed her so, but Riley and I had a very fun, productive weekend.
